Our future scientists love exploring the world they live in. Each grade level uses the Colorado Academic Standards in sceince, consisting of Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, and Earth Systems Sciences. Our kindergarten students watch in amazment as they learn about reptiles and watch chicken eggs hatch before their very eyes. Second grade students create car ramps to study force and motion, and construct classroom habitats for crickets as they investigate organisms. Fourth graders (safely!) experiment with electrical conductors and study our remarkable solar system. Fifth graders even disect a sheep's heart to study human body systems - an expeience that they all remember!
Every other year, Twain hosts an optional science fair for students to showcase their own wonderings and findings.
