Parents are strongly encouraged to help younger students develop their independence by saying goodbye from the playground or car. If a parent needs to escort their child to the classroom, district policy requires all parents/visitors/guests to enter through the front lobby and follow sign-in procedures before proceeding in the building.

School crosswalks and access points (car pick-up area and bus lane) are supervised from 7:35 to 7:45 a.m.(first bell). The cafeteria is open at 7:30 a.m. for students to access breakfast. If you need your child to be at school before 7:30 a.m., please arrange before-school child care with SACC. You may contact SACC at 303-347-4695.

Students not going to SACC Mountain Lion Club and not riding the bus meet parents outside the school building, they will be dismissed from the classroom exterior door. Parents are strongly encouraged to establish clear pickup routines and locations. After school, playgrounds are not supervised by Sandburg staff. We CANNOT allow any students to be on our playgrounds after school without a parent/guardian supervising them.  At 2:50 pm a teacher on duty checks if students are with an adult, all unaccompanied students are escorted to the main office where parents will be called.
