NMS the Lone LPS Representative at the State Honor Choir This Past Summer

This past summer, eight of Newton's previous year's 6th, 7th, and 8th graders represented LPS in the American Choral Directors middle school summer honor choir on July 23 & 24. The choir was made up of about 100 students from across the state. They learned the music on their own, then spent Monday, July 17, and Tuesday, July 18 working with highly acclaimed composer and director, Dr. Rollo Dilworth from Temple University. The concert was the evening of July 18 at Bethany Lutheran Church.These students were chosen for their achievement in and commitment to choral music.
