The 1st-5th graders will be participating in Lenski’s Field Days in early May! Listed below are the schedules and events as well as procedures and volunteer opportunities.  I hope you will be able to join us for this very exciting day!

PARENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

  • Volunteer for a 1 ½ hour time slot on field day and participate with your student for the rest of the day or volunteer on the field day your child is not attending.
  • Volunteer on field day for 1½ hours of set-up before the events start.
  • Volunteer on a day before field day (help line the fields, organize equipment, sort prizes, count ribbons etc.)  To help on Saturday 5-13-17 use 3-5th’s Field Day sign-up link, and to help on Tuesday 5-16-17 use 1st & 2nd’s Field Day sign-up link.

Pick a day, event and time that works for you.  You may sign up for as many shifts as you want. You will receive an email confirmation of your selection(s).

  • Please note: parents may not sign up their 5th graders. If a position is earned as determined by Lenski staff, then 5th graders will be assigned by Coach Wilson.
  • Thank you! All volunteers are greatly appreciated!

 

LUNCH

  • Lunches from home or lunch purchased from the cafeteria (Lunch may be eaten outside on the school grounds if accompanied by a parent.)
  • PLEASE PLAN AHEAD: Students may choose to go out to lunch with an adult chaperone, but must notify their classroom teacher in writing by that morning.
  • After lunch, students check in at their first station on the field with their teacher.

 

WHAT TO BRING

  • a safety pin for ribbons
  • water bottle(optional - water provided)
  • snack (optional)

 

STUDENT ATTIRE

  • active wear that includes shorts and tennis shoes (Please, no short-shorts, spaghetti straps, halter tops, crocs or sandals.)
  • sunscreen
  • hat (optional)

 

CHAPERONES

  • Classroom teachers will chaperone their students on Field Day.

 

LEAVING AT THE END OF FIELD DAY

  • Before leaving, students wishing to depart early with their parents must check out by filling out a form received from the classroom teacher who will then use the form to notify the office and Superstars’ personnel.
  • All other students will be dismissed on Lenski’s regular schedule.
