Food Drive - Thank You!

The Food Drive has come to end and the spirit of giving is alive and well at Lenski! You have once again shown your generosity and support of your community by donating51 boxes of food – all of which directly benefits LPS students.
In addition to thanking all of you for your food donations, we would like to thank the fifth grade students who volunteered their time during lunch, Jeff Gruidel and Freight Logistics for donating boxes, and the many parent volunteers who contributed their time to this community effort.

Lenski's Food Drive wraps up on Wednesday, Oct. 31st and our donations are down from last year as a large amount of expired food has been donated. As an added incentive to bring in more donations during the final days of the food drive, all classrooms that fill their food drive boxes by Oct. 31st will receive a prize.

All donated food contributes directly to students within our LPS community. Please consider donating nutritious, easy to prepare, non-perishable foods with kid appeal. For a list of suggested items, please see the attached list. There is a special need for peanut butter/jelly, cereal, oatmeal, hearty granola/breakfast bars, and canned fruit & applesauce.   Please encourage your students to not send glass and/or expired food. If possible, smaller cans are appreciated.
