Mathematics Information for Out-of-District (including Littleton Academy and Littleton Prep) StudentsRegistering for Classes
All out-of-district students (including Littleton Academy and Littleton Prep) wishing to take honors math at Heritage High School will need to take an exam. This includes incoming freshmen AND older students planning on transferring to Heritage.

Please plan on attending Tuesday, March 14, 2017 from 4 – 5:30pm at Heritage High School in the 3rd Floor Lecture Hall. You will need to bring a pencil and a calculator. You do not need to sign up in advance to take this test. You will not be eligible to take honors math without completing an exam.

For all current Algebra I students, they will take the Honors Geometry entrance exam. This exam mostly covers Algebra I skills such as solving equations and linear functions.

For all current Geometry students, they will take the Honors Algebra II entrance exam. This exam has 2 big sections: Algebra I and Geometry. The Algebra I portion covers a full year of Algebra I from solving equations to factoring quadratics. The Geometry portion includes (but is not limited to) vocabulary, angle relationships, similarity, and right triangles (including SOHCAHTOA). If students are looking for Algebra practice, I recommend they check out IXL for skill practice.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to email Amanda Glerup (HHS Co-Math Chair and Exam Proctor) at aglerup[at]lps.k12.co[dot]us.

Staying Connected to HHS

  • Parents should make sure they have a login to the Campus Portal so they can check on attendance, grades, fees and other student information. These accounts are generally created at the district when a parent enrolls their student. If parents have questions about their Campus Portal account, they can contact Heidi Dudley at hdudley[at]lps.k12.co[dot]us or Kevin Keena at kkeena[at]lps.k12.co[dot]us.
  • Student Campus Portal accounts will be automatically created when they are enrolled and will allow them to check attendance, grades and fees and enter course requests in the spring.
  • Once parents and students have logged into their accounts via the web, they can download the Infinite Campus App for their smart phone or tablet so they can access their accounts from their mobile devices. Direction can be found here. Users should also set up their Campus Portal security settings (under Account Management) to help them should they ever forget their Campus Portal password.
  • Parents can subscribe to the In the Know weekly newsletter by checking the General box next to their email address in the Contact Preference section within the Campus Portal.
