  • School Cancelled Friday, Jan 20 Due to Water Main Break

Due to a water main break in our school Thursday evening, Heritage High School will not have school tomorrow, Friday, January 20, 2017.  LPS personnel and Denver Water personnel responded to the incident and determined that it could not be repaired in time for us to have school tomorrow.  It has not been determined whether athletic activities can proceed as scheduled. Coaches will be communicating as appropriate with their teams. We want to thank all those involved for their quick and appropriate response. We are anticipating  that repairs will be completed by Saturday and will be communicating further information as soon as possible. We plan on school resuming as scheduled on Monday morning.

  • Heritage and Runyon Support Children's Hospital

Students from Runyon Elementary and Heritage High School recently sponsored a game and puzzle drive for children at Children's Hospital in Highlands Ranch.  The joint drive between the two schools, which lasted over 3 weeks, resulted in a collection of over 240 games, puzzles, and toys for children who must be hospitalized over the holidays.  Lisa McDowell, a fourth grade teacher at Runyon Elementary, started the drive years ago, and partnered with Barb Bolen's Marketing class at Heritage.  Students delivered the games and puzzles to the hospital on December 14, highlighting this wonderful collaboration between the two schools, a collaboration that will continue throughout the upcoming semester.
