Our Parent Teams for Academic Success (P.T.A.S.) have been created to support a positive partnership between parents and school, resulting in increased parent-teacher communication, with a focus on student learning and achievement.
Parents attend 5 data meetings throughout the year to learn about their child’s academic achievement. During the meetings parents set 6-week goals for a specific skill and are provided instruction and materials on how to conduct specific learning activities at home to meet these goals. Parents progress monitoring their child’s success during the 6-week cycles and then report back at the next meeting for a new skill focus and goal. Our families enjoy learning about how they can better support their child at home to be a successful learner.
