A year ago, Littleton Public Schools Food Services updated its elementary school lunch program to better meet the needs of students and families. The improved menu offers choices of low fat and fiber rich entree items packed with nutrition to help children grow and learn.
Based on feedback from parents and students, Food Services re-engineered recipes and food specifications to contain less fat and more fiber than before. In addition, the menu has been expanded to include fresh salads, or rice and noodle bowls (made with whole grains) as entree choices. Fresh fruit and vegetable side dishes are available every day.
