LPS Partnering with Denver Water to Test Drinking Water in All LPS Facilities

Littleton Public Schools is partnering with Denver Water to test the drinking water in all LPS facilities to ensure it meets Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) guidelines for lead. There is no state or federal mandate requiring schools to test for lead. However, because of the age of our facilities, LPS chooses to take a proactive approach and conducts water tests periodically. We want to make sure our students, staff, and community members have access to healthy water that meets today’s federal standards.

Testing began this month and will continue through the end of the school year. Test results will be made available. We want to thank Denver Water for conducting the water tests free of charge.
