Runyon & Heritage Students Organize Games & Puzzles Drive for Children’s Hospital

Students from Runyon Elementary School and Heritage High School recently held a games and puzzles drive for children at the Children's Hospital in Highlands Ranch. A joint drive between the two schools, which lasted over three weeks, resulted in a collection of over 240 games, puzzles and toys for children who need to be hospitalized over the holidays.

Lisa McDowell, a fourth grade teacher at Runyon Elementary School started the drive years ago and partnered with Barb Bolen's Marketing class at Heritage High School. A wonderful collaborating between the two schools, Runyon and Heritage students delivered the games and puzzles to the hospital on December 14th. Students from Mrs. Bolen's class will continue this partnership working with students from Ms. McDowell's class throughout the semester.
