The Littleton Public Schools Board of Education consists of five members elected to serve, without compensation, for overlapping terms of four years. Elections are held in November every two years. The Board members serve at-large and following the election, officers are selected for president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, and assistant secretary.
The Board of Education is responsible for carrying out the mandatory laws of the state and where federal and state laws do not prohibit, the Board is authorized to establish and appraise district educational activities. The Board considers its most important functions to be in the categories of:

Elected November 2013-November 2017
Jack Reutzel, Board President, was elected to his first term in November 2013. He received his law degree from the University of Denver and his Masters Degree in City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania.
Prior to his election to the Board, Jack served on the Goddard Accountability Committee and Principal Search Committee, District Financial Advisory Committee and was one of two parents asked to serve on the Littleton Council for Educator Effectiveness. Other volunteer efforts include girl’s lacrosse coach for 10 seasons and a past board member of the Heritage/Littleton Women’s Lacrosse Club. Jack is currently Board liaison to the PTO Presidnet's Council (PPC), the Educational Technology Advisory Committee (ETAC).
Jack and his wife Karen have lived in the Littleton Public Schools district for 23 years. Their children have attended Wilder Elementary, Goddard Middle School, Littleton High School and Heritage High School.
Jack is an attorney at Fairfield & Woods in Denver and his practice focuses on land use and development. Jack’s hobbies include travelling with his family, golf and watching lacrosse.

Carrie Warren-Gully, Board Vice President, was elected to her first term on the Board in November 2013. Carrie grew up in Englewood, Colorado and she and her husband Jim have raised their family in Centennial. Carrie received her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Political Science from Mt. Holyoke College in MA and her Masters in Public Administration from the University of Colorado, Denver. She has worked in the non-profit arena, owned her own bed and breakfast and worked in a research lab at Denver University prior to staying home to raise her three boys.
As her three boys grew she volunteered in many capacities at Sandburg Elementary School, Newton Middle School and Arapahoe High School. Carrie has served on a variety of school Accountability Committees and chaired the District Accountability Committee. She has also served as the PTO president at the elementary, middle and high school levels. Turning her attention to the district level, she has served on the Facilities Task Force, the Financial Advisory Committee, the Educator Effectiveness Committee and the Legislative sub-committee. Her favorite work was chairing the Citizens Committee organizing the campaign for the 2010 mill levy election. Currently, Carrie is the executive director of Books to Life which records audiobooks for the blind and physically handicapped. Carrie serves as president to the Colorado Association of School Boards (CASB) and as Board liaison to the Littleton Public Schools Foundation (LPSF) and District Accountability Committee (DAC).
When Carrie and her family are not volunteering in the schools, they love to enjoy the great outdoors of Colorado; skiing, climbing 14ers, and backpacking.
Elected November 2015 – November 2019
Robert Reichardt, Board secretary, was elected to his first term in 2015. He received a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Colorado, Boulder, a Masters of Public Policy from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a PhD in Policy Analysis from the Pardee RAND Graduate School. Robert works as an education policy researcher at Augenblick, Palaich and Associates. He ran a non-profit working to improve educator quality in Colorado and is an adjunct professor at the University of Colorado Denver. Robert taught high school biology and developed an AIDS education handbook while serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Cameroon, West Africa.
Prior to his election Robert served on the Centennial Academy of Fine Arts School Accountability Committee, the District Accountability Committee, Financial Advisory Committee, and the District Safety and Mental Health Advisory Committee. Robert currently is Board Liaison on the Special Services Advisory Committee (SSAC).
Robert and his wife Amy have lived in Littleton for six years. Their two daughters attend Centennial Academy of Fine Arts and Euclid Middle School. Robert comes from a long line of educators including his mother, step-mother, and both grandmothers.

Kelly Perez, Board Treasurer, was elected to her first term in November 2013. Kelly received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration/Public Affairs from Florida Atlantic University. Kelly’s past work experience includes social worker, medical social worker, event planner, wedding coordinator, and educational consultant. She is presently a small business owner and serves as an educational consultant on a part-time basis. Kelly has been involved with Littleton Public Schools for 18 years as chair of the PTO President Council, chair of the PTO Joint Scholarship Committee, PTO president, school accountability chair, and principal search committees for Runyon Elementary School, Powell Middle School, Arapahoe High School, and Heritage High School. Kelly served on the Financial Advisory Committee, Wellness Committee, Calendar Committee, and the Educational Technology Advisory Committee. Kelly participated in the 2010 Mill Levy campaign, is a member of the Greater Littleton Youth Initiative, LPS Foundation, School Attendance Review Board, and has volunteered as a room parent for 14 years. Kelly is currently Board liaison to the Rocky Mountain School of Expeditionary Learning (RMSEL) and the Safety and Mental Health Advisory Committee (SMHAC).
Kelly and her husband Rey have five children and have been married since 1987. All of their children have gone through or are currently attending LPS.

Jim Stephens, Board Assistant Secretary, was elected to his first term in November 2015. He received his undergraduate degree in Economics and Management from DePauw University, Greencastle, Indiana. Jim worked for sixteen years at Accenture, then did independent consulting for another ten years.
Prior to his election to the Board, Jim served on the Lenski Elementary School Accountability Committee, District Accountability Committee, Tracking and Reporting Student Progress Committee, Educational Technology Advisory Committee-Chairman, Financial Advisory Committee, Capital Improvement Planning Committee, Treasurer of Citizens for Littleton Public Schools during the 2013 school improvement bond campaign, Citizens Bond Oversight Committee, Littleton Council for Educator Effectiveness, Arapahoe High School Moving Forward Fund Library Fundraising Committee, and most recently as a co-leader of the Safety, Mental Health, and Communications Advisory Committee. Jim is currently Board Liaison on the Wellness Commitee and the Gifted and Talented Advisory Council (GTAC).
Jim and his wife Tammy have lived in the Littleton Public Schools district since 1999. Their children have attended Lenski Elementary School, Newton Middle School, and Arapahoe High School. Jim enjoys skiing and golf.
