School Improvement Goals 2009 Update - By 2012, the 9th and 10th grade median growth percentile in reading will increase from 55 to 61 or higher as measured by the Colorado Growth Model
- By 2012, the 9th and 10th grade median growth percentile in math will increase from 51 to 57 or higher as measured by the Colorado Growth Model
- The median growth percentile gape in reading for students who qualify for free/reduced lunch will be equal to nonqualifying students by 2012, while increasing the growth goal for all students
- Reduce the number of students who do not participate in extra-curricular activities by 20% by 2012
- Reduce the number of students with referrals to 15% or lower by 2012
- Reduce the number of students with five or more unexcused absences to 15% or lower by 2012
Graduation Requirements - Language Arts: 40 semester hours
- Social Studies: 35 semester hours according to the following: World Geography 9th grade: 10 semester hours total; U.S. History: 10 semester hours; World History: 10 semester hours; Civics: 5 semester hours
- Mathematics: 20 semester hours
- Science: 20 semester hours, including Integrated Science 1, 2, 3, & 4 unless exempted
- Fine Arts (Music/Drama/Art): 5 semester hours
- Practical Arts: 5 semester hours
- Fine Arts/Practical Arts: additional 5 semester hours
- Physical Education: 12 semester hours
- Electives: In addition to the required credits, each student must select sufficient additional classes to complete a minimum of 210 semester hours
