Our Driver Education Course is broken into two different phases: The Classroom Phase and The Driving Phase.
The Classroom Phase
The classroom phase consists of 30 hours of classroom instruction. Students will be given tests & quizzes throughout the class and will also have regular homework assignments. On the last day of class, students will be given the Colorado State Permit Test and will be issued the Basic Operators Skill Test (BOST), Written Completion Statement, and an Affidavit of Completion of the driver education classroom course. These forms are required to obtain a minor's learner's permit.
Once enrolled, attendance is MANDATORY! Absences can be difficult to make up and will delay moving on to the driving phase.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DRIVING PHASE COULD TAKE SEVERAL WEEKS TO COMPLETE, DEPENDING ON INSTRUCTOR AVAILABILITY AND STUDENT SCHEDULES. * The fee for both phases is $399.
The Driving Phase
The driving phase consists of 6 hours of behind the wheel instruction, and will begin after the classroom phase has been successfully completed. An instructor will contact the student to schedule driving sessions. All driving is done in automatic transmission cars.
A $25 fee will be imposed for cancellations with less than 24 hours notice, or for arriving for a session unprepared to drive (ex: no permit, glasses if required).
This course provides three (3) elective credits for Littleton Public Schools students. The student may choose standard grading, A, B, C, or Pass/Fail. A passing grade is 80 percent or higher. Upon completion of both phases, students will receive a Certificate of Completion and a grade report will be mailed home. Schools will be notified and grades will be recorded on transcripts at the end of the semester in which the course was completed. This only applies to LPS students.
Students must be 14 years and 6 months old to attend the classroom phase. Before driving on the street, students must pass the classroom phase, be at least 15 years old, and have a minor's instruction permit.
Behind the Wheel Training Only
$339 for students that have taken an "online" class and need 6 hours of "Behind the Wheel Training" with a certified instructor. Cancellation fees apply. See our enrollment info page for an enrollment form.
