Littleton Public Schools continue to use the 2004 edition of Everyday Mathematics as their primary resource in kindergarten through the fifth grade. With the implementation of the Colorado Academic Standards, these materials have been supplemented with quality resources that provide additional focus and rigor in key content areas at each grade level.
In the 2014-2015 school year, a committee is meeting to review available math resources and select a resource to forward to the Board of Education for consideration and possible adoption. The committee is made up of teachers from each elementary school and represents each grade level, special education, English language learners and gifted and talented programs. A principal serves on the committee and the committee is facilitated by Ann Summers, the Math and Intervention Specialist. The committee anticipates reaching a decision on the recommendation in March. Watch your school newsletter for an update on this recommendation in March and for dates for public display in April.
