Littleton Public Schools elementary schools are now using Bridges with Number Corner. This resource was adopted by the Board of Education on April 23, 2015.  All teachers and specialists have participated in comprehensive professional development on the new resource.
This implementation is the natural next step in our implementation of the Colorado Academic Standards in Mathematics which began with kindergarten and first grade in 2011. Bridges with Number Corner provide robust instruction in the Colorado Academic Standards in Mathematics and have been developed to ensure the focus, coherence and rigor called for in the standards. Students will develop conceptual understanding and procedural fluency which will be used when students are applying their mathematics knowledge in order to solve mathematical problems.
This resource is published by the Math Learning Center and parents are encouraged to access the resources available on their website. Please watch for the family letter that will be sent home with your child at the beginning of each unit.
Homework is designed to coordinate with the classroom learning and will be sent home in the form of Home Connections.
Please contact Ann Summers, the Math and Intervention Specialist, at asummers@lps.k12.co.us or 303-347-3538 with questions.
