In the LPS community, people come together to demonstrate the
power and promise of local involvement.
Littleton Public Schools enjoys strong partnerships with a number of community entities. For example, summer school classes for LPS middle and high school students are held at Arapahoe Community College. The Elks Club donates funds each year to school PTOs to help cover costs associated with Veterans Day activities at the schools. The local Kiwanis Club chapter helped raise money to provide dental services for students with the most needs. A partnership with the local symphony provides the opportunity for middle school band and orchestra students to work with professional musicians. Many employees at the City of Littleton and LPS staff mentor children at one of our elementary schools. They eat lunch with them, help them with their schoolwork, and sometimes spend time with them outside of the school setting.
